NEWARK - Jeremy Lamb, a 6-foot-5 guard-forward from the University of Connecticut, has been drafted No. 12 overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2012 NBA Draft on Thursday night at the Prudential Center. Lamb played two seasons with the Connecticut Huskies and was part of UConn's national championship-winning team two seasons ago.

Lamb played 75 total games for Connecticut and averaged 14.1 points and 4.7 rebounds in an average of 32.1 minutes per game during his UConn career. Last season, Lamb averaged a career-best 17.7 points and shot 47.8 percent from the field. During the Huskies' title-winning year -- also his freshman season -- Lamb averaged 11.1 points.

Lamb is a long, athletic swingman who gets around well without the ball and is a multi-faceted offensive player, shooting well from mid-range while also being able to drive.
