If Andrew Nicholson is still on the board at pick No. 21 in Thursday night's 2012 NBA Draft, he is "unlikely to get past" the Boston Celtics, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.
The Celtics' potential to draft Nicholson hinges on a number of factors. They are reportedly in the hunt to package Nos. 21 and 22 (and perhaps other assets) in exchange for a lottery pick, so they might not have their late first-round pick with which to select the 6-foot-10 big man from St. Bonaventure. It's also entirely possible that Nicholson gets selected prior to Boston's picks, even if the Celtics hold onto their current ones.
Nicholson possesses an inside-outside game that some scouts have likened to David West's. He is not seen as having as much upside as certain less-polished prospects, but was both efficient and productive while leading St. Bonaventure to the school's first NCAA tournament appearance in 12 years.
