NBA Draft Rumors 2012: Boston Celtics Looking To Trade Up, Maybe For Harrison Barnes

Stay connected for news and updates

The Boston Celtics are looking to package their two first-round picks in the 2012 NBA Draft together to move up to a higher selection, reports Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld.

If the Celtics cannot find a deal they like to move up, reports Kennedy, they are likely to deal one of the picks in a separate maneuver. According to Kennedy, they don't want to bring in two rookie first-round picks.

The Boston Globe's Bob Ryan told CSNNE that the Celtics are interested in moving up to select Harrison Barnes. Barnes is expected to go in the top five of the draft, so it's unlikely a package consisting solely of Boston's first-rounders would be enough to land the UNC product.

The Celtics are entering a summer of uncertainty, and Danny Ainge will have numerous important decisions to make as his franchise transitions from the Big Three era.
