The Atlanta Hawks were desperate for a victory to keep their season alive, and they got it.
Atlanta beat the Boston Celtics 87-86 on Tuesday night to force a Game Six at TD Garden on Thursday.
"I don't think it's about [the Hawks], I think it's about us," said Bass. "Our approach, we've just got to come out with a better approach next game, continue it throughout the game for 48 minutes, and I think you'll see a different outcome."
Paul Pierce, who had just 16 points in the defeat, felt similarly.
"Now the Hawks got some confidence, some momentum, so we have to go home and get the job done."
Boston is still in the driver's seat, but now is the time to shut the door on Atlanta with a home game ahead.
