Tracy McGrady Injury: Hawks' Forward Falls On Ankle In Second Quarter, Should Return

Atlanta Hawks veteran forward Tracy McGrady scored 10 points and collected six rebounds to practically carry his team to a 40-38 halftime lead over the host Boston Celtics at the TD Garden on Friday. However, with about 30 seconds to go in the half, McGrady rolled his ankle and left the floor in obvious pain.

McGrady was out for a bit of the third quarter with a sprained ankle, but has since returned to the floor. His presence on the floor has been important to the Hawks, who probably wouldn't be in the game without McGrady. Atlanta used all of his second-quarter points to keep itself in the contest without forward Josh Smith, who's out with a left knee injury.

The Celtics, who're trying to earn a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series, are having a hard time handling the former NBA All-Star, but maybe may not need to heading into the second half.
