The Celtics will try to protect home court against the 76ers in Game Five of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Four games are in the books and yet nothing has been decided.

We're now looking at a virtual best-of-three with the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics ready to tangle in Game Five of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at TD Garden on Monday night.

Boston has to feel like this game is a must-win. While the Celtics could absolutely go on the road and escape before coming home for a Game Seven, they would get no rest. An older team such as Boston could really use a little relaxation before taking on either the Miami Heat or Indiana Pacers.

The 76ers on the other hand have to feel they're playing with house money. Nobody expected them to be here, but after taking advantage of an injury-riddled Bulls team here they are. Doug Collins has done a tremendous job getting his team to play hard and together every night.

It will intriguing to watch Paul Pierce, who is playing hurt and yet still mostly effective. Pierce had 24 points Friday night but has been very unpredictable this postseason. He could be the x-factor in this pivotal showdown.

The Celtics will also need a better effort out of Kevin Garnett. The Big Ticket has had somewhat of a renaissance this playoff season but was a putrid 3 of 12 from the field in Game Four and only scored nine points.
