2012 NBA Playoffs, Celtics Vs. 76ers: All Celtics Expected To Play In Game 2

Stay connected for news and updates

All 15 Boston Celtics participated in the team's shootaround and everyone is expected to play in Game 2 against the Philadelphia 76ers later in the night, according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.

Ray Allen (bone spurs), Paul Pierce (MCL sprain) and Mickael Pietrus (swollen knee) have been banged up of late, but have all been playing through pain because it's the postseason. Allen has taken a step back from his health last week, admitting that his ankle isn't recovering like he hoped it would. But he and Pierce understand how crucial their presence is as the Celtics look to continue advancing in the 2012 NBA Playoffs.

"Listen, they know what the situation is and they just want to play. We need them, obviously, so that's good," said Doc Rivers prior to Saturday night's Game 1.
