Celtics Vs. 76ers Halftime: Boston Trails 47-42 At The Half

Stay connected for news and updates

The Boston Celtics trail the Philadelphia 76ers 47-42 at halftime of game one of their second round series in the 2012 NBA Playoffs. The Celtics are shooting only .385 to the 76ers .475, although they have the advante in free throws, going 8-8 to Philadelphia's 6-10.

Kevin Garnett is leading the Celtics in points, going 6-9 on field goals and 2-2 on free throws for 14 points total, more than twice what anyone else on the Celtics has achieved. The 76ers are spreading the ball around a bit more, with both Andre Igudola and Evan Turner having 12 points. They're also faster to the ball than the Celtics, picking up five rebounds where Boston has three. Despite all of that, the Celtics are very much in the game, an improvement from the 28-18 ten point lead Philadelphia had at the close of the first quarter. Still, they'll need to step up their efforts and close that gap in the second half.
