Celtics Vs. Hawks, Game 1: Ray Allen, Zaza Pachulia Out On Sunday

Stay connected for news and updates

Injuries, injuries, injuries. Don't you just want to hit them? Both the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks are facing their own injury problems heading into Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series, which begins at 7 p.m. EST on Sunday night in Atlanta.

Ray Allen (ankle) will not play for Boston, as his swollen right ankle continues to hinder him. Allen attempted his usual pregame routine at a Georgia Tech gym on Sunday morning, but he couldn't complete his warmups and will miss yet another game. Allen, who averaged 14.2 points in the regular season, has not played in a game since April 10.

Zaza Pachulia will be sidelined for the Hawks with a foot injury, and he did not play in Atlanta's final seven games of the regular season. Pachulia averaged 7.8 points and 7.9 rebounds in the regular season for the Hawks.
