The Boston Celtics' 115-111 win over the New York Knicks in overtime on Sunday at the TD Garden was fueled by outstanding performances from Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo. Pierce had a game-high 34 points. Pierce was 4-7 from behind the arc in the game, none of his three-point makes were bigger than the one which sent the game to overtime.
Rondo finished the game with a triple-double of 18 points, 17 rebounds and 20 assists. After Pierce hit the three-pointer to force overtime, Rondo didn't slow down in the overtime period and picked up his 20th assist on the following play.
The win was the fourth in a row for the Celtics which are now 19-17 on the season. Rondo's triple-double was his fourth of the season and the 17th of his NBA career (11 regular season triple-doubles).
