BOSTON - Pretty much everybody who has followed the sport of basketball this season has heard of Jeremy Lin. It's even possible that most Americans have heard of Lin, too, and not just sports fans. In the last month, Lin has become an international sports icon for his completely unexpected stardom with the New York Knicks.
As Linsanity comes to Boston again (but really for the first time), we can only prepare for what should be a wild wild afternoon on Sunday at TD Garden. Celtics reserve Sasha Pavlovic, for one, thinks the Linsanity is rather impressive.
"I just think it's an amazing story," Pavlovic said before the Celtics' game against the New Jersey Nets on Friday night. "I've always liked underdogs and I'm happy for him."
Pavlovic likely won't get much playing time with Ray Allen healthy and back in the Celtics' lineup Sunday. As for the gameplan, its clear that Boston will have to focus on containing Lin, as well as true superstars such as Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire.
Get ready, Celtics fans. This is shaping up to be a rather crazy afternoon.
