The Boston Celtics lead the Charlotte Bobcats, 52-50, at halftime on Monday night. Paul Pierce leads all scorers with 17 points.
The Boston Celtics are up 52-50 at halftime of Monday night's road game against the Charlotte Bobcats. Charlotte owns the worst record in the NBA, but is hanging tough with Boston thanks to some timely 3-points shooting and quality minutes from Byron Mullens and Derrick Brown.
The Celtics led by as many as 18 points going into the second quarter, but the Bobcats went on a 17-4 run to open up the period to pull within five points with 7:41 to play until intermission. Mullens scored all 11 points of his points in the quarter. Brown went 4-for-5 from the field for 10 points, adding five assists.
Paul Pierce leads the Celtics with 17 points so far. Kevin Garnett has 13 and Rajon Rondo has nine assists and five rebounds already to go along with four points. They are shooting 48.7 percent from the field compared to 47.7 percent for Charlotte.
