Celtics Vs. Pistons, First Quarter Score: Boston, Detroit Tied At 26

The Boston Celtics are tied with the Detroit Pistons, 26-26, after the first quarter at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Sunday.

Boston shot the lights out through most of the first quarter (starting 9-12 from the field) before going cold right at the end. Detroit only shot 8-21 from the field but a big advantage at the charity stripe allowed them to keep it close. The Pistons made 8-13 from the free throw line while Boston only had four total free throw attempts. The rebounding battle and turnover battle was nearly tied after the first quarter.

Boston was led by 7 points from Paul Pierce in the quarter. Chris Wilcox and Jermaine O'Neal each chipped in six points for the Celtics. Detroit was led by 10 points from Rodney Stuckey, who hit 6-7 from the free throw line.
