Celtics' Nenad Krstic Reportedly Has Bone Bruise, Listed Day-To-Day

Boston Celtics center Nenad Krstic has a bruised bone in his left knee and is listed day-to-day according to a report from ESPN Boston. Krstic injured the knee during the first half of the Celtics' win over San Antonio on Thursday.

Krstic has served as the Celtics' starting center with both Shaquille O'Neal and Jermaine O'Neal recovering from injuries. The seven-foot center from Serbia was acquired at the NBA trade deadline in the deal that sent Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The lack of severity of Krstic's injury is a huge plus for the Celtics, who have have been dealing with injuries to their big men all season long. Krstic has evaded the injury bug this season up until Thursday night.

"Hopefully Krstic is not too hurt and he'll be back in a few days or a week or however long he takes," said Paul Pierce. "But we want to be healthy going into the playoffs, bottom line." (via ESPN Boston)

Krstic is averaging 8.1 points and 4.7 rebounds this season. In 18 games with the Celtics, Krstic is averaging 9.3 points and 5.6 rebounds in 24.3 minutes per contest.
