Glen Davis Trade: Big Baby 'Ecstatic' After Trade To Orlando Magic

Glen Davis was traded to the Orlando Magic in a sign-and-trade deal that sent Brandon Bass to the Boston Celtics on Friday afternoon. Davis, who played his entire career with the Celtics, was happy with the trade.

In a chance encounter, ESPN Boston's Jackie MacMullan bumped into former Celtics forward Glen Davis at the Orlando airport Friday night. Asked about the sign-and-trade deal that sent him to the Magic in exchange for Brandon Bass, Davis said: "I'm not happy, I'm ecstatic." (via ESPN Boston)

Davis averaged 7.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in four seasons with the C's while Bass has averaged 7.7 points and 4.1 rebounds in his six seasons split between the New Orleans Hornets, Dallas Mavericks and most recently the Magic.

It's unknown when Bass will arrive in Boston, although as noted by ESPN Boston, Davis has already landed in Orlando. With the news in hand, it's possible that Bass could show up at the C's training camp practices in Waltham on Friday.
