Glen Davis has reportedly been traded by the Boston Celtics in a sign-and-trade deal to the Orlando Magic for Brandon Bass, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Davis is an unrestricted free agent while Baas has one more year let on his current contract, as well as an option year worth $4 million. Davis has played with the Celtics for his entire four-year career while Bass has played for three teams - the New Orleans Hornets, Dallas Mavericks and Orlando Magic - in his six-year career.
Davis has averaged 7.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 277 career games. Last season, Davis averaged 11.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in a career-high 78 games with the Celtics. Bass has averaged 7.7 points and 4.1 rebounds in his 336 games split between the Hornets, Mavs and Magic. Last year, Baas averaged 11.2 points and 5.6 rebounds in 76 games.
