After defeating the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, the Boston Celtics will have the day off on Monday and will not hold a training camp practice. The team's next practice is scheduled for noon on Tuesday afternoon at Healthpoint in Waltham.
Boston edged Toronto, 76-75, to grab a win in the preseason opener for both teams. Ray Allen scored 12 points, Marquis Daniels added 11 points and Kevin Garnett had nine points and seven rebounds in the win for the Celtics, who were without Paul Pierce, Sasha Pavlovic and Jamal Sampson in the win.
The Celtics mostly have their rotations set for the regular season, but there are still a few position battles to be won. Avery Bradley and E'Twaun Moore are still battling for playing time behind Allen while Brandon Bass, Chris Wilcox and Greg Stiemsm (if he makes the team) will all likely split time behind Garnett and Jermaine O'Neal at the four and five spots.
