Boston Celtics Media Day 2011: C's Host Media Day On Tuesday

Doc Rivers and the Boston Celtics host their annual media day at the team's 2011-12 training camp on Tuesday morning at Healthpoint, their practice facility, in Waltham.

The event serves as a chance for local media to meet and interview the team's players and coaches. Boston's media day is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. EDT and will last until roughly noon, with practice scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.

The Celtics officially opened training camp on Friday evening, and the team has practiced daily since. The C's opened camp with six players under contract - Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley and Jermaine O'Neal - but invited Michael Sweetney, Jamal Sampson, Greg Stiemsma and Gilbert Brown to camp as well.

In addition, Boston signed Marquis Daniels, Chris Wilcox and rookies JaJuan Johnson and E'Twaun Moore while trading for guard Keyon Dooling.
