Boston Bruins forward Nathan Horton has been cleared for contact, according to Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli (via NESN). Chiarelli said about Horton, "Nathan Horton has been cleared for contact. And by all accounts from our medical staff will be ready to play when it's time to play."
Horton sustained his second concussion in less than a year on Jan. 22 and it knocked him out for the rest of the 2011-2012 season. Last season before the concussion, Horton had 17 goals and 15 assists in 46 games on the top line for the Bruins.
The veteran winger has scored 185 goals and 195 assists in his eight-year career. Horton has 43 goals (12 power-play goals, 5 game-winning goals) in 126 games with Boston.
