Capitals Vs. Bruins, Game 6: Jason Chimera's Late Goal Helps Washington, Boston Enter 3rd Period With A 2-2 Tie

A scrappy second period was ended with a goal by Washington Capital's Jason Chimera, who scored with 40 seconds to go and tied Game 6 of this Easteren Conference quarterfinal contest at 2-2. The goal sets up what could be a very exciting final 20 minutes, as the Boston Bruins, who're trying to hold off being eliminated in this best-of-seven series, will begin the third period with a 4-on-3 advantage.

The scoring was limited through the first 19 minutes, however, the physical play was not.

In the second period, Washington out-shot Boston 15-5 and now leads in the category 25-16. Meanwhile, Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas is doing his best, as he's made 23 saves.
