Bruins Vs. Capitals, 2012 NHL Playoffs Game 5: B's, Caps Tied 0-0 After First Period

Stay connected for news and updates

The Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals are knotted at 0-0 after one period of play in Saturday's game five of the first round in the 2012 NHL Playoffs.

Washington recorded 11 shots in the first period, to the Bruins 10. Neither team converted a power play, as the Caps were 0-1 and the Bruins were 0-2.

Things got a little dicey early in the period when Bruins goalie, Tim Thomas, threw a punch when a Capitals player collided with him in the net.
