Bruins Vs. Capitals Score Update: B's And Caps Tied At One After First Period In DC

WASHINGTON, DC-- On Thursday evening, the Boston Bruins were out looking to take full control of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center. After taking game three on the road on Monday, the B’s had the chance to give themselves the opportunity to eliminate the Caps on TD Garden ice this Saturday.

To say that things didn't begin the way the Black and Gold had hoped they would might qualify as the understatement of the year. Allowing the Capitals to take advantage of a neutral zone breakdown just eighty-two seconds after puck-drop, the Bruins quickly found themselves down 1-0.

It wasn't until the 13:12 mark of the opening frame that the B's would even the score at one on Rich Peverley's second goal of the postseason. The tally would mark the second consecutive game that number forty-nine has posted the first goal of the night for Boston.
