It took four periods, plus overtime, for the Washington Capitals to score a goal against the Bruins, but they finally got one past Tim Thomas in the second period of game two. The Caps now lead the B's, 1-0.
Troy Brouwer was the scorer of the goal, with Alex Ovechkin and Karl Alzner picking up assists.
The Bruins have out-shot the Capitals 22-16 in two periods, but trail by a goal going into the final period. Neither team has been able to convert a power play thus far, as the Bruins are 0-2 and the Capitals are 0-3.
The remainder of the game can be seen on NBC.
