Bruins vs. Capitals First Period Live Blog

Stay connected for news and updates

It took a while to find internet here at TD Garden, but it looks as if we're in okay shape now.

The ice has been a lot better this afternoon than it was on Thursday night, which has given the game more flow, and neither team is yet to take a decisive advantage, with shots (6-6) and goals (0-0) even halfway through the first period.

At the 9:52 mark of the first, the Bruins head to the power play with Mike Green off for hooking. The Bruins power play is 0-4 so far in the series.

3:40: Washington kills off the penalty to Green, and with 7:25 left in the first period, Chris Kelly goes to the sin bin for another phantom holding call, the second of the game against the Bruins.
