2012 NHL Playoffs, Bruins Vs. Capitals: David Krejci Struck By Falling Glass

Stay connected for news and updates

The TD Garden celebration of Thursday night's overtime goal was raucous. For David Krejci, it was too raucous.

Krejci missed practice on Friday after being struck by a glass panel during the celebration which followed the Bruins' 2012 NHL Playoffs-opening 1-0 overtime win against the Washington Capitals.

Elated fans were banging on the glass when one of the glass panels was knocked loose and struck Krejci directly in the back of the head. The glass struck hard enough to knock Krejci to his knees on the ice.

According to radio commentator Bob Beers on 98.5 The Sports Hub, Krejci "looked okay" afterward, but the team has yet to release a statement about Krejci's status.
