Bruins Vs. Lightning Score Update: B's Add One To Take 2-1 Lead After Second Period

The Bruins defense played a tough game, and also, in this period, played a little bit of offense as well.

Once again, Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara set up another Boston goal, taking a shot from the blueline and generating a huge rebound off Dwayne Roloson. Dennis Seidenberg pinched in the left side just in time and sniped the rebound past and put the Bruins up 2-1 with less than five minutes to go in the period.

The Bruins continued to dominate the ice and left Tampa with little to be happy about. The Bolts only put up three shots in the period for a total of eight in the game. That includes their opportunity on the power play they had, 4:43 into the middle frame. Bruins forward Brad Marchand was called for tripping, but the Lightning could not generate any offense off it.

The Bolts will have a second chance going into the third period with Tyler Seguin sitting out the first 1:58 after Seguin tripped Steven Stamkos in the Bruins own end. Tampa Bay will start the third with the extra man and with the game to lose.
