Bruins Vs. Lightning Preview: TV/Radio Info, Time, Location And More

Event: Boston Bruins vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
Date/Time: Tuesday, March 27, 2012 - 7:30 p.m. EDT.
Location: TD Garden (Capacity: 17,565), Boston, MA.
Broadcast Info: Tuesday’s game between the Bruins and the Lightning will be broadcast live on NBCSN(HD), TSN2 and NESN(HD). The game can also be heard on 98.5 The Sports Hub, with Dave Goucher providing play-by-play, and Bob Beers providing analysis.

Last Time Out: The Bruins picked up their second win in a row against the Ducks on Sunday and head back to Boston with some confidence in their stride.

Brian Rolston, Benoit Pouliot and Chris Kelly put on an extra stellar performance, each accumulating two points in the game. Rolston is now in the midst of a six-game point streak and has ten points in that span (2-8=10) and is gaining momentum heading into the playoffs.

They weren’t the only players that shined, as Marty Turco made 25 stops on 27 shots--a drastic difference from his last time out.

The Lightning have also gained momentum with a win against the Flyers on Monday. With Steven Stamkos scoring his 53rd goal this year, Tampa Bay picked up their third straight win and have given the Bruins some trouble this year as well.

Storyline: This is the fourth and final meeting between these two teams this year, and no doubt it will be a good one with both teams heading into the night with some momentum.

The last time out was just two weeks ago, when the Bruins took a tough 6-1 blow against them, and Turco gave up four goals in the first two periods of play. Tim Thomas was the first off the ice in this morning’s skate so he will most likely be the goaltender in net tonight.

Jordan Caron was the only Bruins player to score in that last game, though Rich Peverley has had some success against that team in the past. He will be playing in just his second game since he returned from his injury, so don’t be surprised if he continues to make an impact against them.

Players To Watch: There are a lot of players to keep your eyes on, and on both sides of the ice. Obviously Stamkos is always going to be a showstopper, and though his team has not had much success in the standings this year, he has made some big impacts on the ice.

For the Bruins, Rolston is heating up, as well as some of the young guys like Pouliot and Caron.

Prediction: The B’s are heading home for their second to last home stand of the regular season. Expect them to be excited and ready to come out and play. Final Score: Bruins 4, Lightning 3.
