In every sense of the meaning, both teams entered the first intermission deadlocked.
Both had six shots, one power play opportunity, and most importantly, neither team scored.
All of this is pretty good news if you are the Bruins, seeing Marty Turco in net tonight. Though no one doubts his abilities in net, after his last start where he gave up four goals on twelve shots against the Tampa Bay Lightning he had some people questioning his worth.
This is only Turco's third start in net for the Bruins since they signed him, and he is ineligible for playoffs.
Perhaps the biggest and most prominent talk wasn't about his play tonight (though he has stopped all six shots his faced in the period) but instead, the focus has been on his bright not-so-gold, yellow pads he's sporting.
