Bruins Vs. Panthers: Bruins Fall Behind To Panthers, 4-1, After Two

Stay connected for news and updates

The Boston Bruins will attempt to come from behind when they take the ice during the third period of their Thursday tilt against the Florida Panthers. The Bruins are behind 4-1 after two periods.

The Bruins and Panthers played a tight game through the first period, where the Panthers only had a one goal lead. That goal was a power play tally by Mikael Samuelsson with less than three minutes left in the first.

The Panthers came out after the first intermission and added to their lead right off the bat. Marcel Goc netted his tenth goal of the year to give the Panthers a two goal lead. Joe Corvo finally got the Bruins on the board a few minutes later, with help from Benoit Pouliot, playing tonight after missing several games with an injury.

Stephen Weiss and John Madden added goals soon after to distance the Panthers’ lead. Brian Campbell has been a giant factor for the Panthers tonight – the defenseman has three assists, and has been acting as a great feeder and setup man for his teammates.

Bruins goalie Tim Thomas has made 13 shots through two periods, and Panthers goalie Jose Theodore has made 16.
