The Bruins lost Tuesday night in somewhat embarrassing fashion, 6-1, to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bruins have now lost three straight games, and are losing their grip on their second place stop in the Eastern Conference and their first place spot at the top of the Northeast Division.
The Bruins will start Tim Thomas in goal Thursday night. Thomas last started on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he gave up three goals in the first period. He also played a little over 18 minutes in Tuesday's loss, letting up two goals. He will look to redeem himself against the Panthers.
Center Patrice Bergeron will again be a game-time decision for the Bruins, after being injured Sunday. Benoit Pouliot and Adam McQuaid are day-to-day with injuries, though the Bruins think Pouliot may be close to a return.
The game will be aired on NESN and 98.5 the Sports Hub.
