Milan Lucic Voted Toughest Player, Patrice Bergeron Most Underrated

Three Boston Bruins were represented in the results of a recent NHLPA players poll (via NESN).

Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron was voted to be the most underrated NHL player. Winger Milan Lucic was voted to be the toughest player to play against.

Bruins defender Zdeno Chara once again was voted to have the hardest shot in the NHL as well as being the toughest defenseman in the league.

Star-divide

While Lucic has the reputation as a tough guy, he can also do damage on the scoreboard. He had a 30-goal season in 2010-2011. This season, Lucic has 20 goals and 22 assists in 56 games. Bergeron has 17 goals and 48 points this season, which isn't on pace to be his best season. However, Bergeron has increased his point total in the playoffs every season during his career with the Bruins. If Bergeron keeps that streak alive, he might not be considered underrated for much longer. As for Chara, he's only finished the season with a negative in plus/minus once in the past 10 seasons.
