Claude Julien To Coach All-Star Game

According to ESPN Boston, Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien has been selected by the NHL as one of the coaches in the 2012 NHL All Star game. Julien will face New York Rangers head coach John Tortorella as the coach as the coach of the other team.

Julien will be joined by Doug Houda and Geoff Ward from his coaching staff on the bench during the All-Star game. For Julien, the added bonus about this honor for him is that it will be in his hometown of Ottawa, Canada where he will be playing in front of his friends and family. After practice Friday, Julien spoke of what an honor it is to coach in the All-Star game and how special it will be playing in front of people very close to to him.

"I think it's the opportunity that you get to coach the elite players in the league and the guys that get voted on," Julien said. "You see a different side of the players and the whole experience is a good one. The fact that it's in my own hometown is a great; it's an added bonus and you get your family and friends around."
