The war of words between the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks continues, as Brad Marchand has now spoken out against Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault after he said Marchand played the game to hurt other players following his hit on Sami Sal. Marchand was suspended five games for the hit by the NHL on Monday.

"Their coach came out and said I play to hurt players," Marchand wrote in the diary. "He obviously wanted to take a shot at me and stir the pot for the hearing. It just shows the class he has or lack thereof." (via WEEI)

Marchand and the Bruins fell to the Canucks, 4-3, in a rematch of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, which Boston won in seven games. In 37 games this season, Marchand has 16 goals and 16 assists for 32 points, nine short of his career high of 41.
