Terry Francona Called Bruins' Claude Julien, But Doesn't Like Hockey

Terry Francona is by all means a Boston guy, but that doesn't mean he's a fan of every sport in the storied sports town.

Take hockey, for example. The longtime Red Sox coach called Boston Bruins coach Claude Julien in regards to his team's success in the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals, but was totally honest about his indifference towards hockey.

"He dropped on me, 'Hey, appreciate your call. I'm glad you're interested in hockey.' I said, 'No. I don't understand it, I don't like it, but you seem like a really great guy. I just wanted to wish you luck.'' (via ESPN Boston)

Francona is friends with other pro coaches, including Doc Rivers of the Celtics and former Patriots vice president and current Kansas City Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli. In addition, Francona is a huge college basketball fan.

Boston faces Vancouver in Game 7 of the Cup Final on Wednesday night in Vancouver.
