David Krejci: 'That's Why You Work All Season To Get Home Ice'

Stay connected for news and updates

The bad news, of course, is that the Boston Bruins were unable to put away the Tampa Bay Lightning in Wednesday night's Game 6. Teddy Purcell's second goal of the game, scored in the second period, eventually proved to be the difference as Tampa survived, 5-4, holding off Boston's comeback. The good news, however, is that Friday night's Game 7 is in Boston. And that home ice is exactly what they worked for all season, reminded David Krejci

"It's tough, frustrating obviously, but that's why you work all season to get home ice advantage, and now we have it," Krejci said. "Game 7 in our building and in front of our fans, it's going to be exciting."

Krejci scored three goals in the Game 6 loss, becoming the first Bruin to record a hat trick in the playoffs since Cam Neely.

"We're still one win away the Stanley Cup finals so, regroup [Thursday] and get ready for Friday," Krejci said.
