Tomas Kaberle Seeking To Prove He's Useful For Bruins In Playoffs

Tomas Kaberle was supposed to be the player the pushed the Bruins over the top. After acquiring Kaberle in February, Boston finally had its highly coveted puck moving defenseman. Yet Kaberle has left much to be desired through the first five games of the postseason, registering a mere two assists.

"I always put a lot of pressure on myself," Kaberle said Sunday at TD Garden. "Hopefully I can prove why I'm here. I would like to help with every little thing I can do on the ice. Obviously, I am one of the guys on the PP and it would be nice to see something going there." (via WEEI)

The Bruins are just 7-for-80 on the power play since acquiring Kaberle, who was supposed to help sure up Boston's power play squad. While he has registered one point in each of the last two games, the Bruins are going to need a lot more out of Kaberle if they plan on competing for the 2011 Stanley Cup.
