The Boston Bruins open their Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Montreal Canadiens, hosting their longtime rivals at the TD Garden in Games 1 and 2, on Thursday and Saturday night, respectively. Then it's off to Montreal, for the next two games of the series. 

Game 3 is set for Monday, but with Canadian rock band Rush plying a concert at the Bell Centre on April 20, Game 4 gets pushed back to Thursday. And rather than stay in Montreal during that extra time between games, the Bruins are getting out of town to practice in Lake Placid. 

The B's have decided to avoid the distractions of Montreal and Boston in favor of hitting the ice at Whiteface Lake Placid Olympic Center during the layoff in the series schedule created by a Rush concert at Bell Centre on April 20th (It figures that Geddy Lee and his band of Leafers would throw a wrench in a B's-Habs series). 

Lake Placid, of course, is where the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team scored its historic victory over the U.S.S.R. (the Bruins will be practicing on an NHL-sized rink though, and not the same ice as Mike Eruzione and company).
