Bruins Vs. Sabres: B's Go For Ten Straight Wins

Bruins are looking for their streak to continue tonight against the Sabres, but the scream from fans in Buffalo is for blood, not two points from their team.

There's no doubt that tonight's number one story is whether or not the Sabres will try and start some dancing with Bruins forward Milan Lucic after the last game on November 12.

Lucic was called for a charge and had a meeting with NHL head disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan after colliding with Buffalo goaltender Ryan Miller, but didn't receive any repercussions from any other Sabres player. While both teams claim they are just looking to play a solid game and win tonight, you can bet that both will still have the thought lingering in their heads, and something is bound to play out on the ice.

However, the woes continue for the Sabres, as they lost the game against Pheonix, as well as defenseman Tyler Myers, on Saturday to a broken wrist. Myers left the game in the second period and had surgery on Monday to repair his wrist. He is expected to be out four to six weeks. Buffalo called up defenseman T.J. Brennan to help offset the defensive injuries they have incurred already this season. Also injured is blueliner Mike Weber, who is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury.

The Bruins on the other hand are riding a nine-game winning streak, with the most recent victory coming against the Montreal Canadiens on Monday. Andrew Ference was the only goal scorer in that game, but it was enough to give the Bruins what they needed to win. Tim Thomas stopped 33 saves in his second shutout in as many games, but it's still undecided who will be between the pipes tonight.

The game kicks off at 7 p.m. over in Buffalo, and will be aired live in NESN.
