The Bruins ended last week with a shootout win against the Blackhawks to stop the bleeding on their slow start to the season. Call it Stanley Cup Hangover. This week offers a chance to get back on track with several intriguing matchups.
The biggest game of the week comes against Northeast Division-leading Toronto on Thursday, Oct. 20. The Leafs are off to a 3-0 start this season. That matchup is sandwiched between a Tuesday meeting with Carolina and a Saturday date with the Sharks. All games are on TV (NESN) and game time is set for the puck to drop at 7 p.m. ET.
The Bruins have slumped a bit so far this season, but there's no reason to believe Boston won't be a contender again in the East. We'll see if the Bruins pick it up this week.
