The Revolution picked up a win in their first match of the 2013 season, defeating the Fire 1-0 in Bridgeview.

The Revolution finally started to make good on a promise to reinforce the defense this offseason, announcing the signing of veteran Portuguese defender Jose Goncalves on Thursday morning. Goncalves joins on loan from Swiss side FC Sion.

The New England Revolution have announced the signing of Malian defender/midfielder Kalifa Cisse on a free transfer. The club also announced the waiver of Blake Brettschnedier, Flo Lechner, Alec Purdie, and Mike Roach.

The Revolution played a sloppy match and may not have deserved full points for their effort against the Impact on Saturday, but they nevertheless got the result as an A.J. Soares goal earned them a 1-0 win.

The New England Revolution appear to be rolling out a 4-2-3-1 formation with Jerry Bengtson leading the point as they take on the Montreal Impact tonight. Benny Feilhaber has returned to the midfield after serving a one-game suspension.

The New England Revolution are set to close out their season in Canada against the Montreal Impact on Saturday afternoon. The Impact won both previous meetings between the two clubs, but like the Revs, are out of playoff contention.

The Revolution haven't had the best defense in 2012, but on Saturday night they played like a well-oiled machine as they stifled the Fire and came away with a 1-0 win in their final home match of a dismal season. Diego Fagundez had the goal.

The New England Revolution performed admirably in their final home match of the season, stealing a 1-0 result from the second-placed Chicago Fire at Gillette Stadium in front of a season-best crowd of 25,534.

The Revs and the Fire got off to a sluggish start on Saturday night, but Revolution youth product Diego Fagundez lit a fire with a brilliant strike to put the home side ahead 1-0.
