Tom Brady and the New England Patriots take on the AFC-leading Houston Texans in a nationally televised duel on Monday Night Football.

Live blog for the Monday Night Football battle between the Pats and Texans.

FINAL SCORE: TEXANS 14, PATRIOTS 42: The Patriots have held on for a convincing 42-14 home-field victory. Read our complete game recap story, here.

FOURTH QUARTER: TEXANS 7, PATRIOTS 42 (8:00): Stevan Ridley has taken it up the middle for a touchdown. 42-7, Patriots.

FOURTH QUARTER: TEXANS 7, PATRIOTS 35 (14:15): Just as Danny Woodhead looks to have set the Patriots up inside the 10-yard-line, boom, the football comes flying out of his arms, courtesy of JJ Watt. However, wide receiver Brandon Lloyd was able to fall on the ball in the endzone for a touchdown.

THIRD QUARTER: TEXANS 7, PATRIOTS 28 (6:12): The shutout bid is over. The Houston Texans finally were able to establish an offensive rhythm and drive down the field with a drive ending in a short Arian Foster touchdown run.

THIRD QUARTER: TEXANS 0, PATRIOTS 28 (9:49): Donte' Stallworth just arrived back in New England this week, but appears to have not missed a beat. He and quarterback Tom Brady connected on a 63-yard touchdown strike to put the Patriots ahead, 28-0.

HALFTIME SCORE: TEXANS 0, PATRIOTS 21: What began as a blowout in the favor of the home-standing Patriots has actually gotten a lot more tightly contested over the last few minutes of the first half. The Patriots began the game with an offensive flurry led by three Tom Brady touchdown passes. However, the Texans' defense has held New England to three consecutive three-and-outs to end the half.

SECOND QUARTER: TEXANS 0, PATRIOTS 21 (11:01): The Patriots have begun to open this one up. Taking advantage of a questionable defensive pass interference call, the New England offense would go in for another touchdown on a Tom Brady to Aaron Hernandez connection.

FIRST QUARTER: TEXANS 0, PATRIOTS 14 (2:49): On a beautifully executed play-action pass, Tom Brady found an open Brandon Lloyd streaking down the middle of the field for a touchdown. 14-0, New England.

FIRST QUARTER: TEXANS 0, PATRIOTS 7 (9:27): Aided by a pair of Houston penalties, the Patriots' offense was able to march down the field on their opening possession for a touchdown. Tight end Aaron Hernandez got the score on a 6-yard reception.

PREGAME: Are you ready for some Monday Night Football, New England? In perhaps the biggest NFL game of the season, the top two teams in the AFC -- the Houston Texans and New England Patriots, respectively -- square off in a nationally televised Monday Night Football affair at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. Can Tom Brady and company make a statement that its' the Pats, not the Texans, who are the creme de la creme of the AFC, or will this be the moment that J.J Watt and his troops prove their legitimacy? Either way, it's gearing up to be an incredible battle. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET and the game will be aired nationwide on ESPN's Monday Night Football.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots (8-3) take on the Miami Dolphins (5-6) in an AFC East battle on Sunday afternoon in Miami, Florida.

Live blog for Sunday's game between the Patriots and Dolphins in Miami, FL.

FINAL SCORE: PATRIOTS 23, DOLPHINS 16: Tom Brady and the offense put together its best put-away drive of the entire season, ending Miami's chances to complete the comeback. A 20-yard field goal from Stephen Gostkowski with 1:15 left on the clock made it a two-possession game and gave New England the victory. Miami would add a field goal, but it would turn out to be too little, too late. With the win, the Patriots have now secured four consecutive AFC East division titles.

FOURTH QUARTER: PATRIOTS 20, DOLPHINS 13 (8:28): The Dolphins did a great job in moving the ball right back down the field to answer the New England drive. Jerod Mayo came on a linebacker blitz to shutdown the drive on a crucial third down play, forcing Miami into a 33-yard field goal attempt from Dan Carpenter. His kick was true and the Dolphins have cut the deficit to just seven with 8:28 to play.

FOURTH QUARTER: PATRIOTS 20, DOLPHINS 10 (13:49): The good news? The Patriots were able to drive the football deep into Miami territory, taking it inside the 5-yard-line. The bad news? A pair of sacks and a Wes Welker drop would force the Patriots into a 32-yard Stephen Gostkowski field goal attempt. His kick was good and New England extended their lead to 20-10.

END OF THIRD QUARTER: PATRIOTS 17, DOLPHINS 10: Good afternoon folks and welcome back from your third quarter nap. Not, not really, but that's what the last 15 minutes of play in Miami have felt like. Sloppy play from both teams led to no scoring in the entire third quarter. The Patriots have possession of the ball at the Miami 35-yard-line as we enter the fourth and final quarter of action.

HALFTIME: PATRIOTS 17, DOLPHINS 10: Dolphins' quarterback Ryan Tannehill did a remarkable job in rallying the troops for an 80-yard touchdown drive to cap off the second quarter, finishing it with a short touchdown run on a beautifully executed play-fake.

SECOND QUARTER: PATRIOTS 17, DOLPHINS 3 (6:53): After a Ryan Tannehill fumble, the Patriots have cashed in for a field goal and a three-point extension of their lead. Stephen Gostkowski's 43-yard attempt was right through the middle and the Patriots now lead the game by two touchdowns.

SECOND QUARTER: PATRIOTS 14, DOLPHINS 3 (9:21): The Patriots have jumped ahead by two possessions on South Beach. Quarterback Tom Brady found Wes Welker open on the slip screen and no. 83 walked into the endzone for a Patriots' touchdown.

END OF FIRST QUARTER: PATRIOTS 7, DOLPHINS 3: A Dan Carpenter 44-yard field goal would make the score 7-3 in the waning seconds of the game's opening quarter. The Patriots will take over with the ball on their own 24-yard line when the second quarter begins.

FIRST QUARTER: PATRIOTS 7, DOLPHINS 0 (6:45): I feel like we've been here before... Yep. Patriots' place kicker Stephen Gostkowski has missed yet another field goal attempt. From 49 yards out, he pushed it way right and cost the Patriots a chance to go ahead, 10-0. This was the sixth miss of the season for a kicker who might be on his last straw in New England.

FIRST QUARTER: PATRIOTS 7, DOLPHINS 0 (11:53): After a fumbled punt by the Miami kicker, the Patriots offense was set up in brilliant field position at the Dolphins' 12-yard-line. A holding penalty would set the Patriots back ten yards, but wouldn't be able to stop the offense. Running back Stevan Ridley capped off the drive with a 2-yard touchdown run.

PREGAME INACTIVES: The inactives have been released for both sides. For the Patriots, it's guard Logan Mankins, tight end Rob Gronkowski, defensive end Chandler Jones, offensive lineman Mitch Petrus, tight end Visinthe Shiancoe, running back James Devlin and defensive back Derrick Martin sitting out today's game. For the Dolphins, they will be without quarterback Pat Devlin, deep safety Jonathan Amaya, linebacker Josh Kaddu, tackle Will Yeatman, tight end Michael Egnew, tight end Kyle Miller and defensive tackle Kheeston Randall.

Tom Brady and his New England Patriots ready for a fight with the AFC East rival Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon in South Beach. Some have labeled this game as a trap for New England, but any way you look at it, the Pats will need a complete effort to win. This is the National Football League, where anything goes, after all. Can the Pats keep the likes of Davone Bess and Reggie Bush contained, and will the secondary be able to hold its ground? Similarly, will Brady be able to put up another offensive show? We never know, and that's what makes these divisional battles so interesting. SB Nation Boston will provide game updates all afternoon in our live blog, so please check back frequently. So sit back and enjoy, and as always, thank you for reading!

Playing in their final game without the suspended Rajon Rondo, the Boston Celtics (9-7) take on the Milwaukee Bucks (7-7) on Saturday evening.

Live blog for Saturday's game between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks.

FINAL: BUCKS 91, CELTICS 88

Check out our game story for the recap.

END OF THIRD QUARTER: CELTICS 69, BUCKS 69

What was once a 17-point Boston lead would be cut to zero as the Bucks and Celtics would trade leads throughout the third. Milwaukee found their range in the second and continued effortlessly moving the ball around the perimeter and eventually working their way to the rim. Boston would eventually regain their composure, shutting the Bucks down on the defensive end, attacking the rim and using a quick 7-0 to regain a seven-point lead. Milwaukee wouldn't go away though, using their own 9-2 run to stay within striking distance.

END OF SECOND QUARTER: CELTICS 48, BUCKS 47

It didn't take long for the Milwaukee Bucks to get back into the game, using a 9-1 run to cut Boston's lead to eight just over three minutes into the second quarter. Instead of attempting to work the ball inside, like they did for much of the first quarter, they settled for long jumpers, only this time, making them. Boston has generally worried about the guard duo of Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings, but it was Ersan Ilyasova who really sparked Milwaukee's run before the guards came alive. Ilyasova had 10 of his 11 points in the quarter, as Ellis and Jennings combined for 19 points in the half. For Boston, it was Jason Terry and Jason Terry who assisted in fighting off the Bucks, sitting at 10 and 11 points respectively at the half.

END OF FIRST QUARTER: CELTICS 27, BUCKS 11

Similar to last night against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Boston Celtics came out on fire, knocking down five of their first six shots and jumping out to a 17-0 lead early. Pick-and-roll defense and Boston's defensive intensity was at a season-high, as the Celtics forced six turnovers over the first nine minutes of the quarter. Veteran guard Jason Terry took his turn with carrying the load in terms of dishing the ball, notching four assists in the first frame. Courtney Lee seems to have finally found his rhythm as well, leading the Celtics with nine points on 4-of-5 shooting.

GAME PREVIEW

One game without star point guard Rajon Rondo proved to be no problem for the Boston Celtics, who dispatched the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night at TD Garden. Doc Rivers inserted guard Courtney Lee into the lineup in Rondo's absence, but it was the entire team that handled the ball movement duties. Boston earned a blowout win at the end of the day, and while that accomplishment is respectable, it did not beat a particularly good basketball team. Milwaukee is not much better, but the two-headed backcourt of Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings could be bothersome, especially without Rondo. Boston and Milwaukee have met twice already, with each team winning a game. SB Nation Boston will provide updates from Saturday's game here. Check back frequently during the game for updates.
The Boston Celtics take on the Portland Trail Blazers without star point guard Rajon Rondo on Friday night inside TD Garden in Boston, MA.

Live blog of Friday's game between the Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers.

FINAL: CELTICS 96, TRAIL BLAZERS 78

Check out our game story for the recap.

FOURTH QUARTER: CELTICS 83, TRAIL BLAZERS 62 (8:59)

Portland looked like they were getting back into the game, but after failing to convert in transition, Boston would hit back-to-back treys to push the lead back over 20. Jeff Green has 19 for the Celtics, while LaMarcus Aldridge has 23 for the Blazers. Portland has only made two of their 13 attempted three-point shots, while Boston has hit only 37 percent of their threes. Without star guard Rajon Rondo, the Celtics have dished out 19 assists on the night as Paul Pierce and Courtney Lee are tied with a team-high five assists each..

END OF THIRD QUARTER: CELTICS 75, TRAIL BLAZERS 59

The Trail Blazers can't afford to trade buckets being down by so many points late, and that's exactly what's happening. LaMarcus Aldridge has a game-high 21 points for Portland, but the Celtics have four players in double digits and they've really controlled the game from the tip. Boston's bench has outscored the Blazers' 24-3 through three quarters.

THIRD QUARTER: CELTICS 69, TRAIL BLAZERS 45 (5:54)

Portland hit their first triple of the game after missing on their first nine attempts to start the third quarter as they tried to jump start a comeback. For the first time in the game LaMarcus Aldridge wasn't doing all the dirty work, as his teammates started finding their rhythm despite trailing by double digits. Boston still hasn't lost control of the game though, holding a 24-point lead halfway through the third. At this point, Courtney Lee holds the quietly good stat line of the night with six points, five boards, four assists and two steals.

END OF SECOND QUARTER: CELTICS 56, TRAIL BLAZERS 33

Jeff Green has come alive in the second quarter for the Celtics. After missing both shots he attempted in the first quarter, Green has a team-high 14 points in 13 minutes along with two steals, two assists and one block. Boston is well on their way to a blowout despite LaMarcus Aldridge's attempts to keep the Blazers in this one. Aldridge leads Portland with 17 points, with J.J. Hickson notching seven points and no other player having more than four. The Blazers are shooting just 23 percent at the half, while Boston has connected on 56 percent of their attempts.

SECOND QUARTER: CELTICS 32, TRAIL BLAZERS 18 (10:04)

Boston has opened up their largest lead of the game early in the second. Portland's bigs can't find their way to the paint, only notching six points in that area versus the undersized Celtics. Boston's defensive scheme has Trail Blazers rookie Damian Lillard all sorts of confused, holding a team-worst -13 on the floor and two turnovers.

END OF FIRST QUARTER: CELTICS 25, TRAIL BLAZERS 18

LaMarcus Aldridge led a 7-2 run in an attempt to bring Portland back at the end of the first, but it was all Boston. Aldridge has nine of Portland's 17 points in the quarter. Courtney Lee is hustling all over the floor and has four points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal after one. Jason Terry leads the Celtics with six points, but all Boston starters have scored at least twice.

FIRST QUARTER: CELTICS 15, TRAIL BLAZERS 7 (5:30)

Without Rajon Rondo, the Celtics are using their entire arsenal early in the first quarter, with Paul Pierce running more of a point-forward and the rest of the team filling in gaps in transition. Pierce has three points, three rebounds and two assists early. Despite the hot start, the Blazers have gotten to the free throw line eight times already. Boston has seven rebounds to Portland's three.

GAME PREVIEW: CELTICS FACE LIFE WITHOUT RAJON RONDO

Is there life without Rajon Rondo? The Boston Celtics will be forced to find out as they face the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night at TD Garden in Boston, MA with their signal caller serving a two-game suspension for his role in an altercation against the Brooklyn Nets. Boston enters the game at 8-7, fourth in the Atlantic Division, while Portland is 6-9 and dead last in the Pacific Division. Leandro Barbosa will likely start in place of Rondo, but Doc Rivers could opt to let Jason Terry play point guard and put Courtney Lee at the two.
Rajon Rondo brawled with Kris Humphries to steal the spotlight, but the Boston Celtics were defeated by the Brooklyn Nets, 95-83, on Wednesday.

Live blog of Wednesday's game between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets.

FINAL: NETS 95, CELTICS 83: Check out our game story for the recap.

FOURTH QUARTER: NETS 78, CELTICS 67 (6:27): Jason Terry began the quarter with a bang, knocking down a three-pointer to cut the Brooklyn lead to just ten points. Key reserve guard Courtney Lee would hit the deck midway through the final quarter with an apparent injury to his left wrist. At the time of the injury, the Nets had once again increased their lead to 11 points with just over six minutes left to play in regulation.

END OF THIRD QUARTER: NETS 70, CELTICS 55: Boston's off-night in the offense department can be mostly attributed to the performance of their bench players. Jason Collins and Leandro Barbosa share the best plus/minus rating of any of the Celtics' reserves with a -9. The bench has contributed a grand total of 14 points tonight.

THIRD QUARTER: NETS 60, CELTICS 47 (5:12): The first half of the third quarter was really much of the same for the Celtics. They attempted to make some headway, but couldn't really make a major dent in the Brooklyn lead. Forward Paul Pierce has been tasked with most of the ball-handling duties for Boston in the absence of ejected guard Rajon Rondo. It's looking like the C's will need to go on a major run here in order to get back into this game.

HALFTIME: NETS 51, CELTICS 38: The Celtics are going to need some major improvements all across the board if they hope to make this one into a game in the second half. Brooklyn leads in just about every category, including rebounds (26-23), steals (9-4) and three-pointers (6-0). Paul Pierce leads the C's with 6 boards, but is just 2-for-7 from the field. For Brooklyn, veteran Jerry Stackhouse has 9 points off the bench, while Joe Johnson leads Nets' starters with 8 points of his own.

SECOND QUARTER: NETS 51, CELTICS 36 (0:29): All hell has broken loose at the TD Garden, folks. After Kevin Garnett was fouled on a shot attempt, a bench-clearing brawl would break out with Rajon Rondo and Kris Humphries right in the middle of it. Both men would be ejected for fighting while Nets' small forward Gerald Wallace would be called for his second technical foul, ending his night as well.

SECOND QUARTER: NETS 44, CELTICS 26 (6:02): Jerry Stackhouse, folks. The 38-year-old veteran has been on fire in the first half tonight, hitting on three of his four field goal attempts from beyond the three-point line. Stackhouse's shooting and some incredible full-court defense has helped Brooklyn to gain a commanding 44-26 first half lead over the home-standing Celtics.

END OF FIRST QUARTER: NETS 28, CELTICS 20: After taking an early-quarter advantage, the Celtics saw a small lead disappear as the visiting Nets began to shoot well from the outside, draining a trifecta of three-pointers in the game's opening quarter. Kevin Garnett led the way for Boston, scoring six points and adding three rebounds. Starters Paul Pierce and Brandon Bass went a combined 2-8 from the field in the first quarter. Brooklyn is out-rebounding the C's by a 17-13 margin, including 6-1 on the offensive glass.

FIRST QUARTER: NETS 17, CELTICS 16 (4:02): The story of the first part of the game's opening quarter can be summed up in two words: Kevin Garnett. The Celtics' big man has scored six points and added three rebounds so far, keeping Boston in the game against a hot-shooting Brooklyn squad. To this point in the game, the Celtics have yet to record an offensive rebound.

Coming into Saturday's match, the New York Red Bulls hadn't won at Gillette Stadium in 15 games. Darrius Barnes made that number 16 with his stoppage time goal, helping the New England Revolution salvage a 1-1 draw against their bitter Eastern Conference rivals.

Although nothing really changed after Saturday's draw, the Revs will cbe holding their heads high, especially after Joel Lindpere's 91st minute goal appeared to be the game winner.

It was a relatively eventful first half for both sides, with both keepers being tested on several occasions. Although having only 39 percent of possession, the Revs managed to tally seven attempts on goal, with three of them on target. New England also had a goal denied by the linesman in the 5th minute when Jerry Bengtson was whistled off-side, though replay showed him to be on.

"I don't want to comment further than to say that it was a goal, you know, what can you do," said head coach Jay Heaps after the game. "And that's tough because that changes the entire game... That's the second one this season, in that same goal, that's been disallowed that we've been told that's completely the wrong call."

Despite the unjust call, New England fought on. First half chances from Lee Nguyen from a free kick in the 18th minute as well as Bengtson once again in the 43rd all came close but were denied by Bill Gaudette. On the other side of the pitch, Bobby Shuttleworth (who started in favor of Matt Reis for the first time since July 15th) didn't really have much to worry about until the second half.

What the first half lacked in excitement, the second half more than made up for. Referee Sorin Stoica -- whose only cautions came vocally in the first half -- issued six yellow cards in the second half, including two to New York right-back Connor Lade, leading to his ejection in the 74th minute.

Benny Feilhaber and Juan Toja eventually made their way into the game as substitutes (Toja notably playing for 35+ minutes) to try to help get their squad on the board. However, it was Joel Lindpere who eventually broke the standstill in the 91st minute when a cross into the box was mis-handled by Shuttleworth and the Revolution defense, allowing the Estonian midfielder to head it in with ease.

Just as it seemed all but over, the Revolution found a way in the final moments of the game. Rookie Kelyn Rowe recycled a New England attempt on goal and managed to play a ball out to Ryan Guy on the right wing. The Guam international sent a cross into the box that met the head of an ensuing Darrius Barnes, leading to a 95th minute goal and the equalizer.

"It kind of felt like LeBron winning his first championship," joked Barnes, whose goal was his first of his 88-game professional career. "When they got that goal, we didn't let it deflate us, we kept pushing and we got numbers forward and [we were] putting balls into the box, and when you put balls into the box anything can happen. And I was fortunate to get on the end of Ryan Guy's perfect ball into the box."

The Revolution will now head out on the road for their next two games against the Houston Dynamo and the Philadelphia Union before returning to Gillette Stadium to close out their 2012 home account against the Chicago Fire on October 20th.
