Oklahoma tornado victims: How you can help

We've got a lot of folks from Oklahoma who read this site. They're our neighbors, sometimes literally, sometimes more in the broader sense of the bond we share as Rams fans. Either way, they need our help after Monday's devastating tornado that ripped through Moore and other communities there.

There's no need to belabor the point. You saw the photos and video from Monday's storms. It could, and in some cases has, happened to any of us. The Rams themselves spent some time in Joplin, Mo., helping the rebuilding efforts there in the wake of the May 2011 tornado that killed 158 people.

Our friends over at Crimson and Cream Machine, SB Nation's Oklahoma Sooners blog, are raising money to help tornado victims. Let's pitch in to help them. Just click through the widget below. They're trying to raise $1,000, a very modest goal that Rams fans can help them reach.

Keenan Allen may have once been a Raiders fan. He isn't anymore now that he plays for the Chargers. When he gets settled in, he may also want to purge his hat collection.

Rams rookies divided on hair question

LOS ANGELES - Uh oh. This can't be good. There is already a very serious division between two of the St. Louis Rams newest players, and it's over a very important issue, one central to the identity of the franchise.

Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey were in the team's old stomping grounds this week for the NFLPA Rookie Premiere. They haven't spent too much time with the team yet, but enough that the two nearly inseparable teammates at college and pro teammates have different opinions of who has the most iconic hair feature at Rams Park: Les Snead's hair versus Jeff FIsher's mustache.

"Snead's is better," Bailey said. "He looks like a mafia type."

His teammate disagreed.

"Definitely coach Fisher's mustache," Austin said, taking his stand.

Both players spoke highly of the head coach and general manager. There was even some suggestion that each man derived some additional power from their main assets.

Eagles TE Zach Ertz sheds light on 'Taco Tuesday' flap

LOS ANGELES - There's no red meat in the Philadelphia Eagles cafeteria anymore. Taco Tuesday is gone. These days it's mostly chicken and fish, according to Zach Ertz. The rookie tight end gave SB Nation an exclusive peak inside his new team's cafeteria on Friday at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere.

"Everybody knows that your body is your job," Ertz said. "What you put in it, you're going to get out of it, and I don't know if Taco Tuesday was the most healthy thing."

It was another special on the menu that the rookie really noticed, not the weekly feeding fiesta.

"I wasn't surprised by Taco Tuesday, but Fast Food Friday was a big surprise," Ertz said.

The menu is getting a makeover along with the playbook under head coach Chip Kelly. Like his offense, the first-year head coach is embracing the novel concept that player nutrition is directly related to performance on the field.

"I think a lot of guys are open to it," Ertz said. "Coach Kelly's doing a great job."

Does Ertz kind of wish that maybe Kelly had kept the Tuesday tradition?

"I wouldn't have been a big proponent of Taco Tuesday."

Saints rookies Kenny Stills, Kenny Vaccaro are confusing people

LOS ANGELES - The New Orleans Saints went heavy on Kennys in the 2013 NFL Draft. They drafted Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro in the first round and Oklahoma wide receiver Kenny Stills in the fourth round. It's apparently confusing people.

"Kenny and I are actually really cool," Stills said Friday at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere. "We're trying to figure out a way for people to differentiate us because we're both light skinned and tattooed and named Kenny."

Stills conceded that the first-round pick had the better tattoos.

"I'm sure he's probably paid a little bit more. Probably have some better artists in Austin."

Stills and Vaccaro know each other from their college days being on opposite sides in the Red River Rivalry. All that's behind them though, according to the receiver.

"We're really cool," Stills said. "We haven't had any intense conversations about the rivalry because there's nothing to talk about. It's plain and simple how it's been in the past. We've been successful."
