With Rajon Rondo out with a torn ACL, 2013 All-Star Weekend is all about KG in what could be his final event.

Rajon Rondo won't participate in the 2013 All-Star Game, despite being tabbed as a starter as he recovers from a torn ACL, but Kevin Garnett will carry the torch proudly in what could be his final All-Star Game to represent the Boston Celtics.

Garnett will make his 15th appearance in the mid-season classic, and according to the man himself, it may be his last. He'll participate in the game on Sunday at Toyota Center, but not before the earlier action tips off on Friday and Saturday with an exciting new East vs. West format.

The new format will feature the NBA's two conferences in four events on Saturday. The winning team will be the conference that has the most points at the end of All-Star Saturday night, with the winning squad getting a cash prize to donate to the charity of their choice.

Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers will captain the West while the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade will lead the East.

Rory McIlroy fired a final-round 67 on Sunday at the 2012 BMW Championship at Crooked Stick Golf Club to capture his second straight PGA TOUR victory and all the momentum heading into the FedEx Cup finals at East Lake.

He came out of a four-way tie after making back-to-back birdies on the back nine, and it would be enough for the two-time major champion to hold off a host of capable challengers.

Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood would succumb to mistakes that would allow McIlroy to pull away. Westwood mishit a chip shot on the 14th hole that led to a bogey. He made a par on the par-5 15th and gave another stroke to the field en route to a 69.

Mickelson had a roller coaster ride of a round and finished with a two-under 70 after going into the day with a share of the lead.

Former world No. 1 Tiger Woods finished tied for fourth and shot a 68.
