Celtics vs Hawks 2013 results: Boston comes back to defeat Atlanta

The Boston Celtics came back from a 15-point halftime deficit to defeat the Atlanta Hawks 89-81.

The Boston Celtics picked up their second straight victory, marching back from a 15 point-halftime deficit to defeat the Atlanta Hawks 89-81 at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta.

Atlanta jumped out to a quick start, leading 31-18 after the first quarter. The Hawks increased their lead to 15 at halftime with the score 53-38.

Boston came out as a different team in the third quarter, outscoring Atlanta 33-9 in the period. The Hawks only scored two field goals in the quarter, while the Celtics sank 11 to take a nine point lead. The teams traded baskets in the final quarter, giving Boston the win.

Paul Pierce led Boston in scoring with 26 points while grabbing nine rebounds. Rajon Rondo posted a triple-double, scoring 14 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out 11 assists. Kevin Garnett finished with 14 points, while Brandon Bass added 10.

Lou Williams had an impressive night, leading all scorers with 28 points.
