The Boston Celtics lost to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, their fourth straight loss.
The Boston Celtics lost on Wednesday night, falling to the Memphis Grizzlies at home 93-83. The loss was the Celtics fourth straight, and pushed the team to 14-17 on the season.
The team struggled to generate consistent offense against Memphis. Paul Pierce led the team with 17 points, but only went 6-14 from the floor. Boston's second leading scorer, Kevin Garnett, also took 14 shots, but only scored 12 points.
The Celtics also had trouble keeping Mike Conley in check, who scored 23 points while dishing out nine assists. The Grizzlies received some unexpected offense from Tony Allen, who went 6-8 from the floor for 15 points.
Boston also lost some ground in the Atlantic Division, as the Brooklyn Nets won on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder 110-93. Joe Johnson had a strong game, scoring 33 points, while Deron Williams posted a double-double with 19 points and 13 assists.
