Patriots Vs. Titans Inactives: 7 Players Out For New England

Stay connected for news and updates

The New England Patriots take on the Tennessee Titans in their season opener at LP Field on Sunday, and the Patriots list seven players listed as inactive for the contest.

Offensive lineman Nick McDonald joins rookie defensive back Alfonzo Dennard, defensive end Jake Bequette, tight end Daniel Fells, defensive lineman Marcus Forston, defensive end Justin Francis, and running back Shane Vereen.

McDonald and Dennard were late scratches, as they weren't said to be out until the team arrived in Nashville, according to WEEI.com. McDonald is still recovering from a shoulder injury suffered on Aug. 24 in a preaseason game against Tampa Bay. Denard didn't participate fully in practice on Friday.

Game time is set for 1 p.m. ET on CBS and WBZ-FM as Tom Brady and the Pats look to start their season off in winning fashion.
