By winning the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship, Rory McIlroy took home the first place share of $1,44 million. With his third place finish, Tiger Woods won $544,000, enough to make him the firs player in PGA Tour history to amass more than $100 million in career earnings, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
With a total purse of $8 million, a number of other players took home a nice payday. Louis Oosthuizen, who finished second to McIlroy, won $864,000. Phil Mickelson finished in a tie for fourth place, earning him a purse of $352,000.
