Chandler Whitmer and the UConn Huskies (2-2) look to rebound from last weekend's embarrassing loss when they face the regional rival Buffalo Bulls (1-2, 0-1 MAC) Saturday at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT.

Chandler Whitmer will look to keep his personal success going as the UConn Huskies (2-2) look to rebound from a bad loss last weekend against the Buffalo Bulls (1-2, 0-1 MAC) on Saturday at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT.

UConn and Buffalo meet for the 19th time on Saturday, with the Huskies holding a commanding 15-4 advantage in the all-time series. The Huskies and Bulls last met on Sept. 24, 2011, with Johnny McEntee finding Nick Williams for two big touchdowns in the final quarter to send UConn to a 17-3 victory at UB Stadium.

Last weekend, the Huskies were topped by the Western Michigan Broncos, 30-24. Whitmer threw for 333 yards and had three touchdown passes, the first throwing scores of his FBS career, and Lyle McCombs rushed 119 yards on 23 carries. Geremy Davis also had nine catches for 123 yards and one score.

Buffalo lost its second game of the season last Saturday, falling 23-7 to the Kent State Golden Flashes. Branden Oliver had 77 rushing yards on 16 carries and Alex Neutz had two catches for 58 yards and one touchdown. Buffalo committed four turnovers.
