UMass Vs. Miami (OH) Halftime Score: Minutemen Trailing, 14-3

Zac Dysert (8-for-16, 145 yards, 2 TD, INT) jump started the scoring with a 49-yard touchdown pass to Dawan Scott just 57 seconds into the second quarter and later connected with Scott on a 17-yard score with 9:22 left before halftime as the Miami (OH) Red Hawks took a 14-3 lead over the UMass Minutemen into the break Saturday.

Neither team broke onto the scoreboard in the first quarter, but after Dysert's first touchdown pass, the Minutemen put together a five-play, 16-yard drive that ended with a 30-yard field goal from Brendon Levengood at the 12:48 mark, making it a 7-3 game.

Michael Cox paced the Minutemen offense with 106 first-half rushing yards on 18 carries. Quarterback Mike Wegzyn completed 7-of-15 passes for 91 yards while Deion Walker had three catches for 45 yards and Rob Blanchflower reeled in three catches for 42 yards. UMass outgained Miami (OH), 245-225, in the opening half and did not commit a turnover.

Scott led all receivers with 92 yards and Jamire Westbrook rushed for 33 yards.
