Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford Waive No Trade Clauses

Stay connected for news and updates

Both Josh Beckett and Carl Crawford have reportedly agreed to waive their no-trade clauses, and will accept a deal to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, the deal between the Red Sox and Dodgers is "pretty much done," and that both the Red Sox and Dodgers have signed off on the medicals.

The Red Sox are expected to receive James Loney, Allen Webster, Rubby De La Rosa, Ivan DeJesus and Jerry Sands in return for Beckett, Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez and Nick Punto.

Beckett is listed as Boston's starting pitcher Saturday night at Fenway, but it seems unlikely that he'll step foot on the mound to make start.

With the deal all but done, the Red Sox -- and Red Sox fans -- can turn the page on a disastrous September 2011 and subsequent 2012 season, and look toward the future.
